Armory Center for the Arts and Outpost for Contemporary Art are pleased to announce that a partnership is forming between the two organizations. We are currently exploring and developing an optimal framework for the partnership over the long term.
The Armory's embrace is providing Outpost with much needed public space as well as administrative and financial support to ensure the longevity of Outpost's international residency and community-based programs. This Spring, Armory and Outpost will co-host Outpost's signature fundraiser, Monster Drawing Rally, at the Armory. In addition, the two organizations are collaborating on Highland Art Agents Returns, a fully illustrated publication that documents the Pacific Standard Time performance and public art festival as well as on a residency and public art project with Ecuadorian artist X Andrade.
Through focused planning and programmatic collaboration, a vision is emerging for how to preserve Outpost's international and community-based programs while augmenting Armory's well respected gallery and arts education programs. There is a lot of work ahead with many new possibilities. We are excited to get started and hope that we will have your support.
